A Bit About Me
I am a filmmaker and photographer based out of Richmond, Virginia. Most recently I worked as a Post-Production
manager for Homes.com, leading a team of 7 editors on the neighborhood and cities video project. In a previous
life I was a photojournalist for VPM News and in my spare time I work as a freelancer on short form editorial videos
and short films. The best part of my job is spending my day looking for those special moments, large and small and
getting to see the world from a different perspective.
I’m a VCU grad and obtained my BFA in Kinetic Imaging in 2013, and my post-bacc certificate in Advance Media
Production Technology in 2019.
Work Experience
September 2023 – February 2025 |
Promoted to Post-Production manager with Homes.com. As a manager I oversaw a team of 7 editors, balanced their workloads, and tracked all stages of their projects while ensuring on-time delivery and weekly metrics and quality compliance. My favorite part of the job was coaching my editors in 1-1 and group trainings on editing techniques, motion graphics, color correction, time management and more. It was a true joy to see each editor on my team grow and improve in the year and a half that I had the pleasure of leading them. I also helped transition 2 editors to Davinci Resolve, and helped my editors achieve annual goals through regular check-ins and tailored coaching sessions.
January 2023 – September 2023 |
Senior Video Editor with Homes.com. Edited and color corrected high-quality, short-form video projects on tight deadlines. Worked collaboratively with other members of the team, including writers, photographers, and other editors. As a Senior Video Editor I was also charged with mentoring, training, and assisting junior-level editors with workflows, color correction, editing styles, and troubleshooting software issues or problematic footage.
January 2019 – January 2023 |
Photojournalist and video producer with VPM News. Responsible for shooting, writing, editing, and delivering all visual content for the team, including daily, breaking news, and evergreen photography, and videos. I’m a one-man band so I do it all.
March 2016 – January 2019 |
Multimedia Designer with VCU’s Office of Continuing Ed. Marketing job that primarily focused on producing photography, video, and graphics for use marketing various OCPE programs.
June 2014 – August 2014 |
My first real taste of doing photography and videography full-time and the foundation for my career. Internship with the Clinton Foundation in NYC. Assisted staff in all stages of photo and video production for their marketing department and independently worked on a few animation projects.
